COVID-19 Protocol at Artists' Play
Masks are required in all common areas of the premises and when entering and exiting classes. Once in your designated ‘distanced’ dance space in the studio, you may choose to remove your mask for the duration of the class.
Participants shall not share physical therapy equipment without proper disinfection methods taken (mats, stretch bands, blocks).
Barre Classes
Dancers will be directed to stand at least 6 feet (2 metres) apart.
The barre will be sanitized before and after each use.
Centre Classes
For stationary centre work, dancers will be asked to maintain 8-10 feet distance.
Normal breathing will be encouraged over forced breath as forced exhalation spreads larger droplets farther distances.
Bring a filled water bottle to keep near you in the studio.
Avoid socializing in the studios before and after class; our new location has outdoor or hallway spaces that enable you to physically distance (2 metres or 6 feet) with friends before entering the studio or after class. Frequent hand washing and use of provided disinfectant is essential both upon arrival and departure.
Additional measures taken by Artists’ Play to maintain physical distancing and provide a safe facility:
The space and all furniture or apparatus are disinfected before and after opening and between each use. A cleaning log will be kept onsite to ensure diligence. All students will keep physical distance as directed by instructor and physical markings on the floor and in the space.
Mats and/or apparatus will only be used by one person at a time and will be disinfected before and after use.
Any person entering the facility must be registered and confirmed for attendance and have completed a screening contract online or in person.
Masks will be available for sale.
Masks shall be used when physical distancing is not possible.
Sanitation stations are placed throughout the facility
Bathrooms are equipped with non touch soap dispensers as well as hands free air dryers. The facility is 7000 square feet with 30 foot ceilings for a large volume of air. Be prepared for temperature and symptom checks; if your temperature is over 100.4 F, you should return home and contact a health professional. If you have traveled out of the country prior to returning to the studio please ensure you have quarantined for 14 days as per advice of CDC and the City of Toronto.
Please ensure that your seasonal allergies are under control as COVID 19 is spread through mucous droplets. If they are not under control please refrain from entering the studio until you have spoken to your doctor.
